General
How much does Rentalot cost?

Can I use Rentalot for commercial properties?
Rentalot is optimized for residential rentals (apartments, houses, condos). It can work for commercial properties but some features (like showing scheduling) are designed around residential workflows.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your property data and conversations are isolated to your account and never shared with other users or used to train AI models.
AI Assistant
Can the assistant handle multiple languages?
Yes. Add language preferences to your custom instructions (e.g., “respond in Spanish if the prospect writes in Spanish”). The underlying AI model supports many languages.
What if the assistant can’t answer a question?
If the assistant doesn’t have enough information or the question is outside its scope, it will let you know and suggest next steps.
Can I see what the assistant is doing?
All conversations are visible in the management chat in real time. Tool calls (property lookups, showing bookings, etc.) are shown inline so you can see exactly what actions the assistant is taking.
Workflows
How do prospects access my workflows?
You generate a shareable link from the Workflows page in your dashboard. Prospects click the link and are guided through the workflow in their browser — no app installation needed.
Can I customize the workflow questions?
Yes. Each workflow template has editable steps. You can add, remove, or reorder questions, change message text, and adjust timing between steps.
What happens if a prospect abandons a workflow?
The workflow pauses and waits. After 30 days of inactivity, it auto-cancels. You can also set up idle re-engagement workflows to follow up with unresponsive prospects.
Properties
How many properties can I manage?
Depends on your plan. See the pricing page for limits per tier.
Can I import properties from my existing PMS?
Yes. Rentalot supports bulk import from CSV, Excel, and JSON files. It auto-detects exports from AppFolio, Buildium, Zillow, Rent Manager, and Propertyware. See Properties for details.
API
Do I need the API to use Rentalot?
No. Everything can be managed through the dashboard and management chat. The API is for teams that want to build custom integrations or sync data with other tools.
Which plans include API access?
Starter plans get read-only API access. Pro and Scale plans get full read/write access. See the API Reference for details.
