Settings

Configure your Rentalot account from the Settings page in the dashboard. Settings are organized into 7 tabs.

General

Your identity, follow-up preferences, and notification toggles — all in one place.

Identity

  • Name — displayed to prospects and in emails
  • Agent Name — how your AI agent introduces itself (defaults to your name if empty)
  • Email Sign-Off — closing line for outgoing emails

Follow-ups

Automatic follow-up messages sent to prospects who haven’t replied.

  • Enable auto follow-ups — toggle the feature on/off
  • Idle threshold — how long to wait (24, 48, or 72 hours) after your last message
  • Max follow-up messages — cap the sequence at 1, 2, or 3 messages

Contact Nudges

Automated outbound messages triggered by prospect activity (or inactivity). Requires an email integration.

  • Enable contact nudges — master toggle; no nudges fire unless this is on
  • Per-type controls (visible when enabled) — each nudge type has an on/off switch and a delay (in hours):

Nudges are email-only. If a contact has no email address, nudges are skipped for that contact.

Notifications

Choose which emails you receive from Rentalot:

  • Product updates & newsletter — new features and announcements
  • Application completed — email when a prospect completes pre-screening
  • New inquiry — email when a new inquiry comes in from a prospect
  • Showing booked — email when a showing is scheduled for one of your properties
  • Follow-up due — email when an automatic follow-up is about to be sent
  • Notify prospect on review — email the prospect when you approve or deny their application
  • Email prospect matching properties — send matching listings after prescreening (requires email integration)
  • Send booking link emails — enable the “Send booking link” button on contact pages (requires a booking URL or Cal.com)
  • Account notifications — always on (channel alerts, billing, security)

Scheduling

Configure showing duration, availability, and scheduling limits.

Agent Behavior

  • Custom Instructions — tell your AI agent about your policies, tone preferences, and special rules
  • Showing Duration — default length for property showings (30, 45, or 60 minutes)

Scheduling URL

  • Scheduling URL — paste any scheduling link (Google Calendar appointment schedule, Calendly, etc.). Shown on your public pages after prospects complete pre-screening.

Availability

  • Timezone — used for showing scheduling and follow-up timing
  • Working Hours — days and hours you’re available (affects scheduling suggestions)
  • Buffer between showings — minimum gap between back-to-back showings (15, 30, or 60 minutes)
  • Max showings per day — cap the number of showings that can be booked in a single day (1–20, default 10)

Public Pages

Controls your public-facing profile and pre-screening pages.

Visibility

  • Profile page visible — toggle your public profile at /p/your-slug
  • Screening chat enabled — when off, the screening URL shows an unavailable message

Add a link to an external page (e.g. your Zillow listings, personal website, or RentSpree page). Configure the URL and a custom label, then choose where it appears:

  • Show on profile page — displays on your public profile
  • Show after prescreening completion — displays on the completion screen after a prospect submits

Both toggles are disabled until you enter a URL. If you clear the URL, both toggles reset to off.

Phone Number

Let prospects call you directly from your public pages.

  • Phone number — enter your phone number (used for the call button)
  • Show call button on public pages — displays a “Call” button on your profile, pre-screening, and completion pages. This toggle is disabled until you enter a phone number.

Your phone number is protected — it’s never visible in the page source. Prospects see a “Call [your name]” button. When they click it, a human verification check runs in the background before the number is revealed. Once verified, the number becomes a clickable phone link.

URL Slug

Your unique slug for public URLs (e.g. rentalot.ai/p/your-slug). Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. Saved separately from other settings.

Integrations

Connect external services to extend Rentalot’s capabilities.

  • Google Calendar — sync showings and events to your calendar
  • Calendar for showings — when Google Calendar is connected, choose which calendar to create showings in (defaults to your primary calendar)
  • Cal.com — embed inline scheduling on your public pages
  • Email (Gmail, Microsoft 365, SMTP) — send messages from your own email address

API Keys

Create and manage API keys for programmatic access to the API. Each key is scoped to your account.

Voice Agent

Voice-based pre-screening for prospects visiting your public pages.

  • Enable voice pre-screening — show the voice option alongside the text form
  • Allow international phone numbers — accept non-US numbers during voice conversations
  • Custom instructions — context appended to the voice agent’s prompt (company name, tone, policies)
  • Custom greeting — override the voice agent’s opening message

Account

  • Export My Data — download a JSON file with all your properties, contacts, conversations, events, and workflows
  • Delete account — permanently delete your account and all associated data (requires typing DELETE to confirm)
